Stoneware for Breakfast
This morning I wanted something besides oatmeal to go with my coffee (the essential element of any good breakfast)
I really didn’t want to deal with our skillet that only makes 2 pancakes at a time, so I decided to do pancakes on my Large Stoneware Bar Pan.
I made up my pancake batter and poured it in the pan.
I spread it out with a spatula making sure that I got it thin and even all the way across especially in the middle. I didn’t spread it enough and the middle ended up being a little squishy, I’ll try to remember that for next time.
While it was in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes I put some turkey bacon in the microwave (6 minutes in our microwave makes it super crispy) I love my Small Ridged Baker because it gets rid of the extra fat and leaves just the bacony goodness.
By the time that I had all the pancake stuff put away and finished cooking the bacon, my 15 minutes was up and the pancake was ready to come out of the oven. It was perfectly brown on top and bottom. I cut it with a pizza cutter and breakfast was served!
Everyone enjoyed pancakes and bacon with applesauce and I loved the fact that I didn’t have to do much work, that’s my kind of saturday morning!
